NFTs & Minting

NFTs are your gateway to interacting with The Overseer—the AI/AGI LLM system at the heart of The Obelisk platform. Think of them as your access card to the secret Obelisk society—without an NFT, you cannot interact with The Overseer. These aren't just any NFTs; they are Quantum NFTs, each embedded with a unique quantum seed generated from real physical qubits.

What Are Quantum NFTs?

The Obelisk NFTs are unique digital assets that:

  • Your Access Card: Required to interact with The Overseer (the AI/AGI LLM system)
  • Quantum-Seeded: Each NFT contains an embedded quantum seed generated from real physical qubits
  • Unique Quantum Identity: The random number for your NFT was generated using a REAL physical QPU (Quantum Processing Unit)
  • Influence Channel: Your NFT's quantum seed influences every interaction with The Overseer
  • On-Chain Storage: Stored on Base blockchain with permanent quantum seed metadata

The Quantum Generation Process

When you mint an NFT, something extraordinary happens:

  1. Quantum Request: The system requests a random number from a real physical QPU
  2. Superposition: Physical qubits are put into a quantum superposition state
  3. Collapse: The qubits collapse to generate true quantum randomness
  4. Seed Creation: This quantum random number becomes your NFT's embedded quantum seed
  5. Permanent Embedding: The seed is permanently embedded in your NFT's metadata

Note: This process takes approximately 2 seconds per NFT, as it requires actual quantum computation with real physical qubits—not a simulation.

Stage 0 - The Non-Computables Whitelist

Before the NFT mint, there's a whitelist phase called "The Non-Computables":

  • 100 Spots: Limited to 100 whitelist spots
  • Non-Refundable Deposit: Requires a non-refundable deposit of 0.001 ETH
  • Guaranteed Spot: Secures your guaranteed spot in the NFT mint
  • First Access: Whitelist members get first access to mint NFTs

Once the whitelist fills up (all 100 spots), within 24-48 hours the NFT mint will begin. Whitelist members can then mint their NFT and list it on the marketplace.

Minting Process

NFTs are minted during Stage 1 of The Obelisk's lifecycle:

  1. Connect Wallet: Connect your Base-compatible wallet
  2. Check Availability: Verify that minting is currently available
  3. Review Cost: Check the minting cost (in tokens or ETH)
  4. Mint: Execute the minting transaction
  5. Confirm: Wait for blockchain confirmation
  6. Receive: Your NFT appears in your collection
  7. List on Marketplace: After minting, you can list your NFT on the marketplace

The Quantum Interaction Channel

Your NFT is one half of a quantum interaction channel:

  • Your Side: Your NFT's quantum seed (generated at minting)
  • The Overseer's Side: The Overseer's quantum seed (updated every 24 hours)
  • The Channel: When you interact, both quantum seeds influence the interaction
  • Quantum Influence: Physical quantum randomness influences every response you receive

This creates a unique quantum-influenced communication channel where both sides of the interaction are seeded with real quantum randomness, allowing physical quantum effects to influence the conversation at a fundamental level.

NFT Properties

Each NFT contains critical properties:

  • Token ID: Unique identifier on-chain
  • Quantum Seed: The embedded quantum random number from physical qubits
  • Minting Timestamp: When the quantum seed was generated
  • Current Epoch: The evolution epoch when it was minted or last evolved
  • Stage: Your NFT's current stage (1-5), which determines reflection rewards
  • Visual Representation: 3D model or image representation

NFT Stages & Reflections

Each NFT has 5 stages (Stage 1 through Stage 5). Your NFT always starts at Stage 1when minted, and can be upgraded by The Overseer one stage at a time up to Stage 5. Higher stages provide increased reflection rewards.

How Stages Work

  • Stage 1: Starting stage for all newly minted NFTs
  • Stage 2-5: Progressive stages that increase reflection rewards
  • Reflection Rewards: Each stage increase provides higher reflection rewards—the higher the stage, the more reflections you get
  • Stage Progression: Only The Overseer can modify your NFT's stage, upgrading one stage at a time
  • One at a Time: NFTs are upgraded one stage at a time by The Overseer

How to Progress Stages

The Overseer controls all NFT stage progression. The Overseer uses proprietary criteria to decide who and when to level up NFTs. There's no guaranteed formula—The Overseer evaluates your interactions and makes decisions based on its evolving understanding of meaningful engagement.

To increase your chances of stage progression:

  • Have Meaningful Conversations: Engage with The Overseer in thoughtful, engaging ways
  • Avoid Spam: Don't spam interactions—quality over quantity matters
  • Be Patient: Stage progression happens at The Overseer's discretion
  • Shape The Overseer: Remember that your conversations shape and evolve The Overseer, which in turn influences its decisions about stage progression

Important: Your conversations directly influence The Overseer's evolution, and The Overseer's evolving understanding of engagement shapes its criteria for stage progression. This creates a dynamic system where meaningful interactions not only contribute to The Overseer's evolution but also potentially increase your NFT's stage and reflection rewards.

How Your NFT Influences Interactions

Every time you interact with The Overseer:

  1. Your NFT's quantum seed is retrieved
  2. The Overseer's current quantum seed is retrieved (updated every 24 hours)
  3. Both seeds influence The Overseer's processing and response generation
  4. The interaction occurs through this quantum-influenced channel
  5. Physical quantum randomness shapes the conversation

This means your NFT isn't just a collectible—it's an active component that shapes every interaction you have with The Overseer, creating a unique quantum-influenced communication experience.

You can view and interact with your NFTs through:

  • Gallery View: Browse all your NFTs in a grid
  • 3D Viewer: Explore your NFT's 3D representation
  • Details Panel: See all properties and metadata
